HYPE: The Social Network

Yes, I know it's becoming a habit but as I'm low on money, I am only seeing films I have the utmost faith in being brilliant. As I had anticipated, The Social Network was fantastic and scored a very well deserved 4/5 from me.

Well I went to see it last night in the preview expecting the cinema to be empty as only the devoted cinema visitors would have spotted that there was a showing BEFORE the release date, but to my shock and awe.. it was packed. The result? A strained neck from front screen viewing. It was worth it.

I'm not sure whether it was the company.. or the concept of popcorn for dinner.. or perhaps the film.. but I did have a very nice late night trip to cinema on Wednesday.

The film looked really different to anything I'd seen before.. when trying to explain the storyline of 'The Social Network' to my lovely mother I found it particularly hard to classify. Its not a rom-com or an action or a horror.. it's a snapshot into the three years that made Mark Zuckerberg the youngest billionaire in History. PERIOD. (haha)

I found that Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg incredibly charming. What can I say? His quick witt, blunt comments and unbelievable intelligence kinda impressed me. I don't think anyone else could have made typing line after line of code into a computer so effortlessly cool. I just sent him a flirty email, not Jesse Eisenberg, but the billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg, on facebook (oh the irony)

Justin Timberlake was fantastic as Sean Parker, he made me hate him for being such an utter dick to Eduardo whom I grew very protective over as the film progressed. The Winklevoss twins were so attractive, I personally found the more gentlemanly one my favourite but most ladies would probably prefer the more aggressive twin, Tyler, or was it Cameron. Hmm.

Suprise Suprise, The Social Network brings the eyecandy.

Oh and P.S Add me on THE Facebook
